How do TV Stations put pictures and frames on and around the live broadcast?
I want to make a small TV Station of my own now that the UHF bands are clear due to the switch to DTV, but that’s beside the point. Anyways I have the transmitter it has input for S-Video and Component cables as well. So I wanted to plug into it an S-video and I have an adapter for a 3.5mm headphone jack to one of the audio component cables. I know it works to that point, but I want to for example put a box or a small scrolling bar on the bottom like a typical new station would have. How would I add that to my feed? If its too confusing disregard the fact that my computer is the feed and assume its a video camera. It was a little hard for even me, that I want to do it, put it in words.
a) The UHF bands are clear but not for you (or me). You still need an FCC license and expect to have your equipment confiscated and pay heavy fines if you start transmitting.
b) You need a video mixer where you combine your video feed with a special effects source.
